February Julep Maven Boxes: Get on the A-List

Hey!  Remember when I blogged about skipping Julep in February and how sad I was because I really liked the collection?  And then I got a Cupid's Mystery Box?  And then there was a coupon code to get a $100 gift card for only $50 on Valentine's Day?  If you don't remember, I blogged about it here.  Well anyways, I used some of my gift card to get the It Girl and Bombshell February boxes.  I already swatched Ginger for you here, but I figured I might as well post what else came in those boxes because all of the shades are lovely!

Rebel, Joan, Marion, Ginger, Laura, Oxygen Nail Treatment, eye lash curler.
The theme for February was "Get on the A-List" and was loosely based around Oscar season, with every shade name paying homage to actresses from the past and present.  This was the collection that debuted Julep's first holographic shades, and the rest of the colors consisted of smoky cremes and shimmers.

Rebel is named after Rebel Wilson, and is a silver holographic from the It Girl box.  I haven't worn this one yet, but I have worn Ginger and Evangeline.  Both were very stunning on but chipped easily.

Rebel.
Joan is named after Joan Crawford and is also from the It Girl box.  Julep describes Joan as a raspberry plum with rose gold shimmer.  I like this color a lot even though it reminds me of a couple of other shades I already own.  I'm wearing it on my toes right now, but my feet are looking pretty crusty so you will not get to see them.  Sorry.

Joan.
The last color from the It Girl box is Marion, which is named after Marion Cotillard.  This is a smoky blue with silver shimmer.  I love Marion!  At this point, I would like to mention that all three of these polishes are currently included in the It Girl Introductory Box, which you can get for a penny when you become a new Julep Maven.  The button on the right that says "I'm a Bombshell" takes you to my referral link if you are interested.  Just use the code "PENNY" or "COLOR2012" at checkout, and don't forget to use the Maven shipping so it will ship for free!

Isn't Marion preeeeeeetty?
Ginger and Laura are both from the February Bombshell box.  Ginger, named after Ginger Rogers, is a sand holographic.  Like I said earlier, the holographic shades chip easily, but I personally don't mind too much because I change my polish very frequently.  Ginger is my favorite of Julep's three holographic shades.

Ginger.
Laura, an olive khaki creme, is named after Laura Dern.  I'll admit that I wasn't too jazzed about Laura at first, but this green is so muted and sophisticated.  I'm trying to wear all green polishes in March, so I might wear Laura next!  Also, military is supposed to be a big trend again this spring, so this is kind of a perfect color to have right now!

Laura.
February's beauty product was the Oxygen Nail Treatment.  There are a lot of positive reviews online for this, but I have not tried it yet, and I don't know when I will because this requires that you have bare nails!  Nooooooo.  Anyways, this has a sheer pink tint to it so that you are not completely naked.

Oxygen Nail Treatment.
Here's the back of the box so you can read more info!

I should probably be using this because my nails look grody without polish.

Last picture of the Oxygen Nail Treatment!
The freebie for February was a little eyelash curler, and now I have two because it came with both the It Girl and Bombshell boxes.  I already have an eyelash curler, so I was like "meh" at this one.  If I would've ordered the February box during the Maven selection window, I would've also gotten a Freedom Top Coat, but a lack of funds prevented me from ordering then.  Oh well!

Julep eyelash curler.
The good news is that Julep still included some yummy chocolate Valentiney hearts in my boxes!  I ate them but I can show you a picture of the ingredients.  The Bombshell box came with two chocolates, and the It Girl box only had one, so I think I might have been jipped out of one of my chocolates.  They tasted like Dove!

These were delicious.
I'm really pleased with these boxes and with Julep overall.  I mean, isn't it impressive that Julep releases a new collection every single month, plus a new beauty product?  Hope you enjoyed seeing what I got from the February collection!

See you next time!
