My January ipsy Bag Has Arrived!

Happy Monday, everybody!  Don't you just love it when you get awesome surprises in the mail?  Especially on a Monday?  Well, I guess this wasn't really a surprise because I looked at all the spoilers online, but I just couldn't help myself.  January's ipsy bag is fabulous!

This is my third month receiving the ipsy MyGlam bag, and I am still thrilled with this subscription service.  Really, if you are still not an "ipster" after reading this post, then you are INSANE.  (Stop what you're doing right now and subscribe!)  Ipsy only costs $10 a month.  You are charged on the first of every month, and the bags are shipped in the middle of the month.  So far, my experience with ipsy has been pretty consistent... and AWESOME.  Oh, and there is no referral program for ipsy.  I just think it's that good!

The January bag is a little different than the November and December bags because there are less color products like lip gloss and eye liner, and this time they included skincare, hair spray, and beauty tools.  I really liked my last two bags, but I really am floored by what we got this month.  Especially the Pacifica Body Butter!

I work really close to a Sephora, and I got a couple of the Pacifica sets after Christmas a year or two ago on clearance.  My favorite was the Tuscan Blood Orange scent.  I used my little jar of body butter very quickly, so I am very glad to have this in my possession again.  The only thing that sucks is my tube arrived damaged, and some of the body butter leaked on other things in my bag.  No big deal, really, but kind of a bummer.  This stuff smells heavenly and is perfectly refreshing coming out of Christmastime!

Sad.

I don't need to say how much I love Nailtini!  I read online that the bags had either Bloody Mary or Frappe (a frosted champagne) in them.  I'm glad I got Bloody Mary.  Can you believe I do not already have a true creme red nail polish with no shimmer or glitter?  Now I do!  By the way, can you see I still have no chips or dents in the Pink Champagne I have on?  It's been almost a week since I reapplied! 

Mmmm, bloody.  Wait, I already said that about the body butter!

I've never used argan oil before.  This seems like a huge trend right now, though.  I think everyone is releasing an argan oil now, but I heard that a lot of those other items only contain a certain amount of it, and not 100 percent.  The box says this can be used as a daily moisturizer, hair treatment, nail treatment, or bath oil.  I'm a little apprehensive about putting more oil on my face, but someone told me that using a little bit of oil on the face helps regulate how much oil your skin produces.  I guess that makes sense!  But I think I will definitely try this on my cuticles.

 

Eye droppers scare me!

One thing I never ever have is hairspray.  I'm glad to have this Big Sexy Hair Spray & Play spray because sometimes I need my hair to be a little tacky so I can put a headband on it.  I hope this motivates me to try something new with my hair!

I wasn't aware that I needed a special brush to put eyeshadow on the crease part of my eyelid.  I've been doing it wrong all this time, I guess.  Cool!  I hope I get more brushes so I can put them all in a pretty vase (rhymes with "Oz") on my vanity.  I've always wanted to do that.

Last, I wanted to show you the inside of the navy bag.  The lining is blue with white stars and the ipsy logo!  So cute.  Sorry, this one's fuzzy.  My camera was dying and I ran out of time to get a clear photo, but you get the idea.
