Croc-odile Rock!

Hey guys!  Don't laugh at me, but I looooove me some Crocs.  If someone would've recommended them to me a few years ago, I would've laughed at them.  But my back problems started to become unbearable at my current job after years of abuse in flat shoes on a hard floor for 8+ hours a day.  I noticed that many of my coworkers were rockin' some Crocs so I finally gave in about a year ago and bought some Kadee flats.  I don't think I could ever go back to other shoes now.  I guess you could say I'm like the Mario Batali of retail.  Because we both wear Crocs, get it?

I've been wearing my ragged out Kadee flats all summer long because I just couldn't stand to wear other shoes to work.  I got some overtime in the last two weeks, so I decided to finally fork over $35 at the Crocs kiosk at the mall and get a new pair.  But when I went to find the Crocs kiosk at the mall IT WAS GONE!  Damn.

Here are my old Kadee flats.  My feet are totally crooked so my shoes always end up look bent like this.

So I was forced to go online and order some new Crocs. I found some more fancy ones on clearance and only paid $31 for the Lily Bling flats! I stalked the FedEx website all week to see where my Crocs were, and then Saturday came and I KNEW they were finally coming. So when I saw the FedEx truck in my neighborhood at 9AM, I was quite annoyed that they did not bring me my awesome Crocs.  I entered the tracking number AGAIN on the FedEx website and they took them to the goddamn post office. WTF.

These need to go in the trash!

Obviously at this point I was super mad.  I checked the mail at least five times between 10AM and 4PM.  I knew there was no way I missed the mail truck, but then I just figured the mailman took a day off because he's kind of an asshole.  Seriously, I don't like my mailman.  So I just gave up and went to the grocery store because I had put it off all day waiting for my Crocs.  I was sad.

I got home around 5PM.  Feeling defeated by the USPS, I cracked open a pint of Bud Ice.  I stepped outside to get some air.  I turned my head to the left.  The mail truck was there!  MY CROCS WERE HERE!

Yay!
I'm really pleased with this purchase.  I was afraid they might not fit because I had to order a size up from my other Crocs as the 9s were sold out.  But these fit perfectly!  I'm super pumped because these are going to be much cuter with tights and leggings thorughout winter than the other shoes would've been.  They've got some kind of felty fake suede on the outside with patent leather trim.  I don't think they look like Crocs at all unless you look inside of the shoe.  Aren't they neato?

And they're super comfy, too!
The bottoms are already covered in cat hair, but, look, no holes!
Sorry for the dramatic Crocs story, but that was exactly how it went down.  I felt like I was going to punch a hole in the wall if my Crocs didn't come.  I did not want to wear my broken shoes to work on Monday!  I can't wait to try more new styles of Crocs... I'll probably be on the lookout for a new pair to transition to after winter.  Have you ever tried Crocs?  I think you should!
