Hey guys! I am warning you now that this post is going to be pic heavy and ALL ABOUT my obsession with collecting nail polish and other cosmetics. Pretty boring stuff if you are not into that kind of thing. Okay, so now that that's out of the way, let me tell you about how awesome the clearance sale at CVS is!
Everything except the Revlon polishes on the right are from CVS! |
This sale has been going on now for a couple of weeks. A lot of things aren't marked, so you kind of have to go in and scan everything. And I've seen some things in one CVS on clearance that are not on clearance in another CVS. A little frustrating, but it makes hunting fun! I wish I would've had some ExtraBucks saved up before this sale started, but I seriously think my CVS card is messed up because I kinda LIVE there and only earn like three dollars every few months.
Kourt is Red-y for a Pedi is a squishy orangey hued red that is going to look awesome with my new Be a Bombshell gloss from ipsy. Wear Something Spar-Kylie is a full coverage pink glitter. Kim-pletely in Love is a light light pink with what looks like blue micro shimmer. I wouldn't normally buy something this tame, but I think this will be nice when important people come to work and I have to look more cleaned up, ha ha. Smile for the Glam-era is a vampy dark burgundy with gold micro shimmer. Our Fuchsia's Lookin' Bright is a fuchsia creme. I think pink and purple cremes are my favorite. I almost didn't get this one because I just got OPI Casino Royale, but these are actually very different. Yay!

Last Christmas, OPI released a Muppets collection and I never got any because most of them were glitters, and I just wasn't feeling it at the time. (ULTA still has some of this collection, by the way, except mine doesn't have Warm and Fozzie which I still want!) Anyways, according to the internets, Rainbow in the S-kylie is a dupe of Rainbow Connection from that Muppets collection. I've already worn this glitter that has large, small, and medium hex glitters in silver, green, blue, orange, pink, and yellow. It's super festive for Christmastime. I needed a dark brown creme and a taupe creme like Hard-Kourt Fashionista and My Empire, My Rules. These look good all the time. My Empire, My Rules reminds me of Sephora by OPI Metro Chic. I know there's like a million taupes out there, but I didn't have a single one. Now I do! It's All About the Glam is a shimmery white. Another safe color for work, and something besides basic white, which I think just looks like White-Out on the nail. This will be pretty in a pink and white Valentine's Day mani.

So are you totally bored yet? No? Okay, I'm going to keep going then. Do you like cream blushes? I love them! I have better luck with cream blushes because they can be very sheer if you use just a dab, but they are also easy to build up. I've been using Revlon Flushed, but I was wanting something more berry colored for winter. I scored when I found this Covergirl & Olay blush in Lush Berry! I almost walked away without one because they had all been opened (gross!), until I dug one out that had fallen behind the display. Sweeeeeet! This was worth $6.75. It's gonna last forever. Really, this blush is HUGE. Scroll down for a comparison with my Revlon blush. (Of course I opened this and played with it before I took a picture.)

Here's the grand finale!!!! I was floored when I found this Almay Wake Up Hydrating Makeup for 75% off! I usually wear Revlon Colorstay Aqua Mineral Makeup, which is between twelve and fourteen dollars depending on where you go. I like this stuff also because it is buildable. I hate that stuff that looks caked on and shows your pores (around my nose and chin is the worst!). I've never used the Almay version of this before, but I remember that they both came out around the same time and there were a lot of comparisons on the internet. And I know that Revlon and Almay are the same company, so this stuff can't be bad. They were only $3.75, so I got two. I don't think I'm going to need new foundation for a long time!
Even the packaging for these are almost exact dupes! |
