Window Shopping: Galaxy Prints

Happy Monday!  Two more days until the IRS starts accepting tax returns!  Yay!  I've already e-filed.  I'm gonna be checking for that deposit like a maniac for the next few weeks!  Anyways, even though I have no spending money now, it doesn't mean I can't shop through the power of the Internet!  What do y'all think of these galaxy prints that seem to be popping up everywhere lately?

Revlon Colorburst Lip Butter Swatch-O-Rama

Wanna hear some great news?  Revlon is releasing at least four new shades of their Colorburst Lip Butters!  Yay!  I already have twelve colors and they all rock my socks.  The new shades are called Juicy Papaya, Sorbet, Pink Lemonade, and Fresh Wild Watermelon.  I really hope they also release Macaroon in the US!  I haven't seen any photos or swatches of the new colors, but I bet there will be some awesome brights for summer.

NOTD: NOPI Back to Reality...TV

Hi there!  I think I'm finally caught up on my NOTDs!  Today I am showing you Nicole by OPI Back to Reality...TV.  I still have this color on, and I'm going to be sad when I remove it to try one of my new OPI Liquid Sand polishes this afternoon.  I took these photos on the 21st, so I have had Back to Reality...TV on for about six days!  This dusty periwinkle looks nice with my pink/yellow skin tone and is perfect for spring.  It's a little difficult to see the pink shimmer sometimes, but the base color is pretty enough that the shimmer is just "icing on the cake" for me!

NOTD: Nailtini Bordeaux Bliss

Here is another one of my Nailtini minis, Bordeaux Bliss.  I probably didn't need this color because I already have a handful of dark burgundies, but they are my favorites!  Bordeaux Bliss is a dark burgundy with silver shimmer.  The shimmer didn't really appear silver on the nail though.  Still, this is the type of color I will wear again and again.  This polish seriously lasted almost a week with no chips and only minor tip wear.  I love Nailtini!

Kendall Won a Kindle!

Yep, that's right, I totally won an Amazon Kindle, and a TON of other stuff, this morning!  I entered a giveaway last week during the premiere of The Carrie Diaries on the CW.  And I won the GRAND PRIZE!  That's so crazy!

Hello, everyone!  Phew!  Another week just flew by.  Sorry for the mini blogging break, but I just finished a seven-days-with-no-day-off stint at work.  I was going to blog about my "Guilty Pleasures" today, but when I was googling my favorite show, "Drop Dead Diva," I found out that Lifetime CANCELED the show a few days ago.

NOTD: NOPI Rainbow in the S-Kylie

Hi there!  I've been sitting on these pictures of Nicole by OPI Rainbow in the S-Kylie for about a month.  I think I've been waiting to possibly wear this again and get better photos, but with the amount of new colors I have yet to wear, it will probably be a while before I use Rainbow in the S-Kylie again.  I wore this over NOPI Smile for the Glam-era.

OOTD: Knit Wit

Hello!  How is everybody's Tuesday going?  It's sunny and 80 degrees outside today here in Gainesville.  My American coral geranium got its first bloom of the year today!  I've had this plant for a few years, and it just won't die... I'm really good at killing plants, so this must be some kind of superplant.  Anyways, I wore this stretchy top and skirt last week, and thought I would share it with you!

NOTD: Nailtini Pink Champagne and Spritzer

Hey guys!  Remember back in November when I had that 50% off code for Nailtini nail laquer?  Well, my mom was reading and used the code to get me six minis for only eighteen bucks!  I've already told you I have a TON of new colors to swatch, but I decided to start wearing the Nailtinis because apparently we are getting another full size Nailtini in the January ipsy bag!  And I can't wait!

NOTD: NOPI Smile for the Glam-era

Smile for the Glam-era is another one of the Nicole by OPI Kardashian Kolors I hauled last month during the CVS clearance sale.  This dark burgundy with gold microshimmer leans a little more purple than red.  It was very difficult to get the shimmer to show on my camera, and honestly it was a little difficult to see it in person.  I would've liked this color better if more of the shimmer was visible like it was in the bottle.  I also wish I would've added more topcoat before I did these photos so my nails would've been glossier.  Still, I really like dark red/purple shades like this, so it will get more use!

NOTD: NOPI Kendall on the Katwalk

Today I have for you Nicole by OPI's Kendall on the Katwalk.  This glitter gives full coverage at two coats, but I used three HEAVY coats because I really like glitter!  This looks like just blue glitter at first, but there is also green and purple glitter mixed in.  Very impressive in person, but I don't think blue polish looks very good on my pink and yellowish skin.  I have lots of blurry pictures because 1.  I screwed up all the pictures and 2.  The glitter looks shinier in fuzzy pictures.  Enjoy!

 

Champagne Wishes and Fatkini Dreams!

Now that Christmas is over, I am so antsy for spring and summer to arrive!  While everyone else is coming up with a game plan to get their best swimsuit figure, I have been stalking all my favorite websites to see what they have to offer this year in plus sized swimwear.  This is the first New Year in a long time that I haven't been trying to lose weight!  I actually don't hate the way I look or feel in a swimsuit, and I am sort of thinking about getting a fatkini for the first time.  Maybe.  Still can't decide if I'm brave enough.

I have some really bad news!  We are going to UNIFORMS at work.  I'm all about being a team player, but I am NOT happy!  This probably won't really be my last outfit post, but I'm going to have to work a little bit harder at it since it looks like I have to wear the same fugly button down shirt to work everyday.  I guess I'll have to actually start changing out of my softies when I am off work.  Daaaang.  Anyways, here is my new dress from Simply Be!
